Full Machine Shop
with Sophisticated & Precise Machining
Machining & Metal Fabrication
AGORA operates a fully equipped machine shop supporting precision manufacturing, tooling, fixtures, and production-ready components. Our in-house capabilities combine deep machining expertise with advanced CAD/CAM workflows, allowing us to design, build, validate, and refine components quickly and accurately.
This integrated approach enables tighter tolerances, faster iteration, and better alignment between design intent and manufacturability, supporting both prototyping and scaled production programs.
- Tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids
- Precision mechanical components
- Prototype-to-production transitions
- Complex geometries or tight tolerances
- Metal components that can be used in prototype developments
- Integrated development with soft goods programs
Milling & Drilling Machines
Vertical, horizontal, and five-axis machining centers support high-precision milling and drilling for complex geometries. Automatic tool changers and multi-axis control enable both precision-focused and production-oriented workflows.
Electrical Discharge MAchining
Electrical Discharge Machining enables complex shapes and tight tolerances in hard metals. Wire EDM, ram EDM, and small-hole EDM are used for molds, tooling, and precision components that cannot be machined conventionally.
- Wire EDM for precision contour cutting
- Ram (Die-Sinker) EDM for complex cavities and molds
- Small-Hole EDM for starter holes and difficult-to-drill materials

Metalworking Finishing
Grinding delivers precise surface finishes and tight dimensional control. Capabilities include cylindrical, centerless, surface, and form grinding for hardened or high-precision components.
- Surface grinding for flatness and finish
- Cylindrical and centerless grinding for round components
- Form grinding for complex contours
- Tool and cutter grinding for machining tooling
Computer-Aided Manufacturing
Our machining operations are supported by advanced CAD and CAM software to generate accurate, efficient CNC programs for milling, turning, and EDM processes. Feature-based and geometry-based CAM systems enable both complex toolpaths and automated production programming.
Modern CNC controls, sensors, and probing systems allow for real-time measurement, monitoring, and process reliability, supporting unattended or lightly attended machining when appropriate.
Ensuring Consistent results Stay in Place
Precision machining depends on precise setup, and we design and utilize custom fixtures and workholding solutions to ensure accuracy and repeatability across every production run.
Our setups incorporate chucks, vises, collets, rotary tables, locating pins, and stops to support consistent positioning and complex machining strategies.
- Custom fixtures and workholding solutions
- Chucks, vises, collets, and rotary tables
- Locating pins and stops for repeatable positioning
Verifying Accuracy & Surface Quality
We employ a comprehensive inspection and measurement systems to verify dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and overall conformance to design intent. Our quality control process utilizes advanced metrology tools to ensure components meet tolerance requirements before downstream use.
- Handheld precision gages (calipers, micrometers, plug gages)
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Surface finish measurement (profilometers)
engineered to work seamlessly with soft goods
We design, model, and manufacture custom metal components that integrate seamlessly with soft goods and hybrid assemblies. By bringing metal fabrication in-house, we reduce lead times, improve coordination, and maintain tighter control over quality and fit.
Our metal fabrication capabilities include precision cutting, bending, punching, drilling, turning, grinding, threading, and finishing, supporting everything from brackets and frames to structural and functional components. Each part is engineered to meet performance requirements while remaining manufacturable at scale.
Unlike many soft goods manufacturers that outsource metal components, AGORA provides this capability as part of a single, integrated solution. This approach simplifies development, accelerates production, and ensures metal components are designed in parallel with soft goods, resulting in better-performing products and faster time to market.
- Structural or load-bearing components
- Frames, brackets, and reinforcement elements
- Hybrid soft goods and hard goods assemblies
- Programs requiring tight integration and fit control
- Reducing supplier handoffs and development time
